The beautiful forests of Indonesia are thought to be amongst the oldest and richest in the world.
The forest is the source of tropical hardwood timber, one of the best natural products available.
However, due to the over-exploitation of this timber, we are left with just a small fraction of our ancient tropical rainforest!
Therefore, the designers and manufacturers of DeckSTAR products are committed to implement responsible wood production as part of our effort to conserve the environment.
All DeckSTAR products are manufactured from unwanted off-cuts that are accumulated from the production of other solid products, including "regular" merbau decking.
Thus, No trees are cut down for the specific manufacture of DeckSTAR products.
In addition, the manufacturer sources their raw materials from legal, government controlled resources.
These resources have been evaluated and audited to be certified as "TLTV" and "VLO".
Timber Legality & Traceability Verification Program Verified Legal Origin.
Full documentation can be provided as evidence.
The manufacturer is also participating in a forestry program as set out by WWF-Indonesia.
Therefore: DeckSTAR customers can be assured that, DeckSTAR products are truly good for the environment, and are ensured to be
"Mother Nature Approved".
